Shannon Meyer, MA, LMHC, CMHS

Child, Individual & Family Therapist

Approach

Navigating life’s challenges–big and small requires a collaborative effort. Shannon will work with you to find more effective ways of coping with personal struggles, giving you the tools you need to thrive.

Shannon utilizes a collaborative approach and a blend of Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help challenge negative thoughts and behavior patterns, and reconnect you to your values. With her support you will work on learning alternative strategies and skills to help you achieve your goals.

Shannon is passionate about working with adults, adolescence, and children (7+).  She especially enjoys working with individuals who struggle with Eating Disorders and body image issues. She also works with those who have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety.

Background and Experience

Shannon has over 7 years of experience in the field as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH60563484). She received her Bachelors (B.A.) in Psychology from Eastern Washington University and her Masters (M.A.) in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.

Shannon is a certified Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) and has additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for children and adults who have experienced trauma. She is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor for the state of Washington and mentors future therapists in the field.
