Paige Huffaker, MA, LMFT

Child, Individual and Couples Therapist

I tailor my approach to meet the needs of each individual, child, couple, or family with a focus on developmentally appropriate practice. I love working with people of all ages, using your unique strengths and talents to reach your goals. I also believe that no one develops in a vacuum, and that we all effect and are effected by those around us.

In my work with couples I enjoy using experiential techniques to highlight relational patterns and engage each member of the family, and I enjoy using emotion-focused therapy to help couples reconnect and build the kind of positive attachment and intimacy with each other that will weather the storms of life.

With individual adults I use person-centered, insight based therapies in combination with practical CBT skills.

As a trained child specialist I enjoy working with children of all ages and developmental levels using skill building, play therapy, and CBT techniques. I also believe in the importance of parent involvement in working with children, and love working with parents on attachment techniques, structure building strategies, understanding children’s development, and parent-child relationship skills.

At times therapy will be fun, at times it will be hard, but it will always be worth it.

Background and Experience

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (License # LF 60630008), and am a Child Mental Health Specialist and a Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Specialist in the state of Washington. I have a B.A. in Child Developmental from the University of Idaho and have worked as a developmental therapist with children with developmental delays and their families for five years before graduating with my M.A. in Marriage and Family therapy from George Fox University in 2012.

I have worked in both private practice and community mental health settings and enjoy the diversity this allows.
